What is Terrazzo?
Terrazzo is a mixture of marble chips and cement or epoxy that provides a seamless floor surface. The terrazzo surface can be either polished (interior) or rustic (exterior) finish. With the proper maintenance the finished product is a surface with a lifetime expectancy of more than 100 years.

Terrazzo Maintenance
Terrazzo floors have ease of maintenance, but this does not mean that no care is required.

Surface Textures
Honed surfaces provide a flat to low sheen gloss. Different levels of gloss can be achieved. The surface is very smooth and dense. This texture is common in high traffic buildings.

Polished surfaces are glossy yet smooth and not very porous. The reflectiveness of polished crystals brings out the brilliant colors and grains of the natural stone. The shine comes from the natural reflection of the stone's crystals instead of a coating.
